Digitvoip Privacy Statement
Last Updated: March 1, 2025
This privacy statement ("Privacy Policy") describes the information gathering and dissemination practices for the products and services marketed under the brand name Digitvoip (the "Service") and the associated website, www.digitvoip.com (the "Website"). The Service is provided by Digitronics, a Florida LLC (hereinafter referred to as "Digitronics," "We," "Us," or "Our"), doing business as Digitvoip. Digitronics is committed to protecting the privacy of its users ("Users," "You," "Your").
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms an integral part of our Digitvoip Terms of Service ("Terms of Service"). By using our Website or Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or Service.
Important Note Regarding Resold Services (as defined in our Terms of Service):
You acknowledge that Digitronics provides the Service, in whole or in part, by reselling or utilizing services, networks, and infrastructure obtained from one or more third-party wholesale providers, underlying carriers, or other service partners (collectively, "Upstream Providers," as defined in our Terms of Service). The provision of the Service necessitates the processing and sharing of your information with these Upstream Providers as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Digitronics collects information from Users in various ways when you interact with our Website and Service.
1.1. Information You Provide Directly:
Order and Account Registration: When you order our Service or create an account, we request information such as your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used by Digitronics for billing purposes, to fulfill your orders, to manage your account, and for communication. This includes information necessary for E911 Service, such as your Registered Address as defined in our Terms of Service.
Communications: When you contact Digitronics for customer support, or otherwise communicate with us (e.g., via email, phone, or through the Website), we collect the information you provide, including the content of your communications.
1.2. Information Collected Automatically (and through Upstream Providers):
Profile Information: We may store information that we collect through cookies, log files, and/or third-party analytics tools to create a "profile" of your preferences. This profile may include information about your viewing preferences on our Website. We may tie your personally identifiable information to information in the profile to provide tailored offers and improve the content of the site for you.
Log Files and Call Detail Records (CDRs): In providing the Service, Digitronics and our Upstream Providers collect and use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, number of clicks, and Call Detail Records (CDRs). CDRs for VoIP services may include originating and terminating phone numbers, call duration, call routing information, IP addresses used during the call, and other metadata related to your communications, but not the content of your calls. This information is essential for analyzing trends, administering the Website and Service, routing and billing for calls, ensuring network security, troubleshooting, and for legal and regulatory compliance. IP addresses and CDRs will be linked to your personally identifiable information for these purposes.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We and our third-party partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our Website, analyze trends, administer the Website, track users' movements around the Website, and gather demographic information about our user base. You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our Website or Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
Digitronics uses the information we collect for purposes including:
Providing, operating, and maintaining the Service under the Digitvoip brand.
Processing your orders and managing your account with Digitronics, including billing and collections.
Communicating with you, including responding to your inquiries, providing customer support, and sending you service-related announcements.
Improving and personalizing the Website and Service.
Monitoring and analyzing trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Website and Service.
Ensuring the security of our Website, Service, and network, and those of our Upstream Providers.
Complying with applicable legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests from public authorities, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect your information or with your consent.
3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
Digitronics does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
3.1. With Upstream Providers: To provide you with the Service, it is essential that Digitronics shares certain information with our Upstream Providers. This includes, but is not limited to, information necessary for call origination, termination, and routing (such as phone numbers, IP addresses, and CDRs), E911 service (Registered Address), service provisioning, network maintenance, troubleshooting, and billing. Our Upstream Providers are contractually obligated to protect your information, but they process your data according to their own operational needs, privacy policies, and legal obligations for the operation and security of their networks.
3.2. With Other Service Providers: We may share your information with other third-party service providers who perform services on behalf of Digitronics, such as payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing assistance (if you opt-in to such communications). These service providers are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us and are contractually obligated to protect your information.
3.3. For Legal Reasons and Protection: We (Digitronics), or our Upstream Providers, may need to disclose personal information when required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process, when we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
3.4. Business Transitions: In the event Digitronics goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personal information will likely be among the assets transferred. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
3.5. Aggregate Information (Non-Personally Identifiable): We may share aggregated or de-identified demographic and usage information with our partners and advertisers. This information is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
4. Communications from Us
4.1. Service Announcements: On rare occasions, it is necessary for Digitronics to send out a strictly service-related announcement. For instance, if our Service (or the service of an Upstream Provider directly affecting our Service to you) is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send users an email. Generally, users may not opt-out of these essential communications, though they can deactivate their account. These communications are not promotional in nature.
4.2. Customer Service: Digitronics communicates with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and regarding issues relating to their account. We reply via email or phone, in accordance with the users' wishes.
5. Links to Other Sites
This Website may contain links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by Digitronics. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by our Website and Service.
6. Security
Digitronics takes reasonable administrative, technical, and physical precautions to protect the users’ information we directly control from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. When users submit sensitive information via the Website (such as credit card numbers), that information is encrypted using SSL/TLS technology.
While we use SSL/TLS encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also implement measures to protect user-information off-line within our organization. Access to our users’ information is restricted. Only employees of Digitronics who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees are required to use password-protected systems and are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. The servers that store personally identifiable information we control are maintained in a secure environment.
You acknowledge that data transmitted over the internet and telecommunications networks, including those of Upstream Providers, cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While our Upstream Providers are responsible for the security of their own networks and systems, Digitronics is not responsible for the security of data when it is under the sole control of Upstream Providers or other third parties. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
If users have any questions about security on our Website or concerning our Service, users can send an email to info@digitvoip.com (managed by Digitronics).
7. Data Retention
Digitronics will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including those related to our Upstream Providers), resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes (such as for billing, operational needs, and audit trails). Call Detail Records and other service-related data may be retained for periods defined by regulatory requirements, the operational needs of our Upstream Providers, or our business practices.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. These may include:
Access, Correction, and Deletion: You have the right to request access to, correction of inaccuracies in, or deletion of your personal information that is under the direct control of Digitronics. You can usually review and update some of your account information via your account settings on the Website, or by emailing our Customer Support at support@digitvoip.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe, in accordance with applicable law. For information primarily held or processed by our Upstream Providers as part of service delivery, we may need to coordinate with them to fulfill your request, which may impact the process and timeline. We will inform you if this is the case.
Opt-out of Promotional Communications: If you receive promotional communications from us (Digitronics, regarding the Digitvoip service), you may opt-out by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in those communications, by replying with "unsubscribe" if applicable, or by contacting us directly at support@digitvoip.com. Please note that you may not be able to opt-out of essential service-related or transactional communications.
Cookie Preferences: As mentioned above, you can typically control cookie settings through your web browser.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18 (or the relevant age of majority in your jurisdiction). Digitronics does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under the relevant age has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under this age, please contact us at info@digitvoip.com.
10. Notification of Changes to this Privacy Policy
Digitronics may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a prominent notice on the Digitvoip Website prior to the change becoming effective.
